FAQs*
What is a podcast?
A podcast is like a radio show that is available on the internet.
How often is your podcast released?
Every two weeks.
Where can I listen to this podcast?
You can listen to the podcast on this website by clicking here. You can also listen on almost any podcast app where people listen to their podcasts. This includes Apple, Spotify, Podbean and Overcast.
Is your podcast on YouTube?
You can watch the podcast on YouTube by clicking here. You can also watch on this website by clicking here.
Is there any advantage to watching the podcast on this website?
This website's watch pages are the only place to get the full shownotes to each episode. The basic description of the podcast, information about the guests and the timings of the chapters are available everywhere.
Why are some of your shownotes so long?
I apologise. I do sometimes have long shownotes because I am speaking to academics and experts who may refer to people, topics and other things that are not always known. If anyone is curious about these, they can scroll down to the shownotes for more information.
The other reason is during my research I can end up learning something I find quite interesting. These subjects admittedly won’t be for everyone but if you are interested, the notes and links are there for you.
Why are you skipping so many films?
Many old sci-fi films are partially or wholly lost. Others have multiple remakes so can be revisited. Some did not make a big impact or were similar to other films. I do have a set of criteria but if I have missed one of your favourite science fiction films, I would love to hear from you. You can leave me a voice note on www.speakerpipe.com/everyscififilm or send me an email at ayesha@everyscififilm.com
What films will you be covering next and where can I watch them?
You can find many of the oldest science fiction films on YouTube. I will leave links to the next sci-fi film I will be covering at the bottom of the shownotes of the previous episodes. JustWatch is a decent resource on where to rent, buy or stream films in some countries. A lot of the films are available to buy on DVD or Blu-Ray but are becoming increasingly rare.
How can I keep up to date with new episodes?
You can subscribe to the podcast. You will need to choose where you will be listening to the podcast out of the list here. Click through to the app or website and then find the subscribe button.
The other option is to visit this website. Episodes will be released every two weeks.
Or more accurately: questions I imagine people might frequently ask if they were to ask me questions.
